MICO delivered two exhilarating performances on May 11th at Brighton Music Hall in Boston. The energy was high and the venue was packed from wall to wall with anticipation that you could literally feel in the air. The band had a great entrance that flowed straight into “TV” the first of many songs from the “Internet Hometown Hero” EP on his setlist. MICO was incredibly interactive throughout the show which is a common staple of his during performances. Between joking around with the crowd to collecting little trinkets that audience members had brought him, it seems like MICO thrives when he can bounce off of the crowd’s energy. He’s always laughing and smiling seeing his fans enjoying the performance. Outside of that, a massive highlight of the show would absolutely have to be his banter with his bandmates. Between absolutely rocking out with Raf and Jason, or teasing the latter by repeatedly reminding the audience that he graduated from the Berklee College of Music it was amazing just watching them have a blast performing together.
If the banter and the interactive performance doesn’t hook you, I’m sure the music will leave you wanting more and more from MICO. Between hit songs like “cut my hair”, “Homesick”, “I’d hate to be my friend”, and so many more it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite. The venue was full of screaming fans enjoying every second of the smooth vocals, guitar riffs, and incredible melodies that MICO and the band had going, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t right there with them. The entire “Internet Hometown Hero” EP has been on daily rotation since it came out and with summer right around the corner I know for a fact that won’t be changing anytime soon. If they keep performing with intensity and passion like that I truly have no doubt that the sky is the limit for them. The only thing left to say here is, “See you in September MICO”.
